Questions the Today Show didn't ask Laura and Jenna Bush

During today's episode of NBC's 'The Today Show', Laura and Jenna Bush were guest co-hosts, probably to plug their new book.  I didn't care enough to watch it, but it occurred to me that serious journalists like Tim Russert might seize the opportunity to ask them serious questions.  (Ha ha!  I crack myself up sometimes.)  In that spirit, here are some questions that the Today show won't ask Laura and Jenna Bush.

First, here's five for the First Lady:

  1. Mrs. Bush, your husband's disastrous "war of choice" in Iraq has claimed the lives of over 4,000 U.S. troops, all to topple a two-bit thug who couldn't threaten his neighbors, let alone the U.S.A., while the terrorist responsible for 9/11 has not been brought to justice.  How well does your husband sleep at night?

  2. Since your husband took office, the price of gasoline has tripled.  How has the increased costs of energy affected your family?

  3. Your husband inherited record surpluses from the Clinton administration, and then promptly cut taxes twice, the second time during a war, leading to record deficits and a ballooning national debt that will be left to our grandchildren to pay.  How do you manage your family's finances?

  4. Given your husband's past problems with alcohol and drug addiction, what steps did you take to help steer your daughters away from substance abuse?  What went wrong?

  5. Mrs. Bush, how does it feel to kill a man?

And here's one for Jenna:

Jenna, you are at the prime age to be recruited into the U.S. Army, who desperately need officers and enlisted servicemen (and women) to perpetuate your father's never-ending war in Iraq.  Have you considered enlisting, and encouraging your sister and all of your friends to enlist?  If not, why not?

What did I miss?  Please share your questions in the comments.
