Navy to Judicial Watch: Go Jump in a Lake

Nice swift* work by the Navy in putting this frivolous, spurious request to rest.

The Navy's chief investigator concluded Friday that procedures were followed properly in the approval of Sen. John Kerry's Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, according to an internal Navy memo.

"Our examination found that existing documentation regarding the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals indicates the awards approval process was properly followed," Route wrote in the memo sent Friday to Navy Secretary Gordon England.

"In particular, the senior officers who awarded the medals were properly delegated authority to do so. In addition, we found that they correctly followed the procedures in place at the time for approving these awards."

This story hasn't received much attention around here or the blogosphere or the news, but hopefully that's because nobody gave the initial story much consideration. I searched and found 2 diaries on it (GreekGirl, Trix) but I thought it deserved another mention.

At least GreekGirl made Google news search (note, google identifies kos as "satire." ha)

But as you might guess, this report won't satisfy some people. Newsmax frames their story as "Navy Halts Kerry Medal Probe." You see, Kerry is still a liar, a coward, and a traitor - the Navy is just covering it all up.
