  •  So ridiculous (none / 0)

I guess 54% of the people who took this poll are living in a fantasy world of spin.

  •  In an ideal world (none / 0)

In an ideal world, MSNBC would look at this poll and they'd think "I can't believe that people believe the lies that Bush is spouting.  People really don't understand how bad Iraq has become."  Then their conscience would kick in and they'd realize that they are responsible for keeping the public informed about these terrible tragedies and they'd realize they have failed at their duty as journalists and they'd make a pledge to themselves to set the record right and start reporting the real facts of the war in Iraq..

Why do we have to live in this world instead of the ideal one?

Depending on how tight they've got thier system tied up, and your browser and ISP settings, you can likely vote more than once by doing some combination of clearing your history and cookies, and closing, then re-opening your browser.

It sound's like a big-to-do, but it only takes a few seconds.  Voting 10 times at MSNBC is almost certianly more fun that what you'd be doing those couple of minutes at work otherwise.

  •  At least they could have offered us OTHER n/t (none / 0)

  •  Do it! (none / 0)

I read MSNBC a lot and I noticed something striking about their online polls recently. Before the GOP convention, Kerry was winning in the head-to-head poll (they post it on almost every political page). In fact, Kerry was winning by a WIDE margin. The number of votes can get astoundingly hight, near 500,000, before MSNBC refreshes the poll.

Interestingly, when I started to see a lot of despair around this blog I saw the numbers swing to Bush. These are not scientificvally accurate polls, of course, but it was incredible how obvious it was that we, and our bretheren, just weren't energized enough to hit these kinds of polls.

I don't, for a minute, believe that there's been a huge swing toward Bush (after all, what has changed for the better in the last month in the USA?) I just think we need to hit these online polls like we did before the media got a hard-on for the chimp.

The polls may not mean a lot, but I think they're a GREAT measuring stick for how energized the base is!!!!

    Gallup is running this poll.
